Dan Alster joined J. Wood Capital Advisors in the beginning of 2024 and leads the firm’s debt capital markets advisory practice. Dan has worked in investment banking and global capital markets for over 22 years, including 15 years with JPMorgan and 4 years with Bank of America.  Prior to joining JWCA, Dan led the West Coast Leveraged Finance practice at BofA and, prior to that, JPMorgan, focusing on the technology and media/entertainment sectors, with both corporate and financial sponsor clients. As part of his responsibilities, Dan helped originate, structure, negotiate, market and execute loan (bank and institutional) and high yield bond transactions.  Before pursuing his MBA, Dan practiced law briefly and was admitted to the NY Bar in 2002.  Prior to receiving his business (undergrad) and law degrees, Dan served as a Captain and Air Traffic Controller in the Israeli Air Force.
