TED BRECK, MANAGING Director

Ted joined J. Wood Capital Advisors in January 2019 and will strengthen and broaden the firm’s growing business serving the biopharma and healthcare industries.

Ted has enjoyed a rewarding career in private equity and investment banking serving the biopharmaceutical and healthcare industries since 1983. Prior to joining JWCA, Ted co-founded TPG’s structured investments in life sciences including drug royalty monetizations, royalty-backed debt, senior secured debt, acquisition financings and clinical trial financings. For 9 years, he led and partnered on over $1 billion of such investments across the global biopharma industry. At the core of the initiative was partnering with companies to determine the optimal capital structure and provide enabling non-dilutive growth capital. Prior to TPG, Ted had two decades of experience in healthcare investment banking at Lehman Brothers in New York and San Francisco where he led the Firm’s West Coast Life Sciences financing and M&A business and advised companies on 120 transactions for a value over $24 billion.

Ted received his B.A. in Social Science at the University of California at Berkeley.
